Finding Out

Things were weird. They just weren't right. Nearly ever since I started taking my anxiety medication, my "time of the month" had become pretty much predictable. December rolled around, and I expected it at any time. Right before Christmas, I got really sick with an infection, so I figured maybe my body being so worn down had delayed it some. So I waited and waited...and waited. Waiting 2-3 months isn't unfamiliar to me, so at first I thought nothing of it.

Then I started feeling queasy at random times during the day. January was no different than December. I had John get an pregnancy test, because a lot of the times when I spend a lot of time dwelling on the possibility of being pregnant, I take a pregnancy test - and when it comes back negative - my period starts within the next couple of days. Much to my surprise, the pregnancy test looked like this:

Because I had been sort of suspecting, I wasn't shocked. I really wasn't excited, but I wasn't disappointed either.

So - that's how this little adventure began: on January 9th, 2015, with a positive pregnancy test. The following Monday, I called and set an appointment for January 28th.

More details to come!
